EC101-Basics of Electronic Commerce

Paper is out, electrons are in! Doing business electronically is no longer a competitive advantage--it's a business requirement. Global competitive pressures to streamline the business process require the increased use of electronic business technologies. You may not be prepared to do business electronically, but your customers are. This workshop begins with a discussion of the business need for change and a brief review of the current business basics. A review of the EDI, bar coding, and the Internet and how they can best be applied to reduce time and cost follows.
